The boys continued to improve last season improving on their 3rd place
the previous season by finishing runner up in the league. They had a
team that reached the semi finals of the Horsley tournament and runners
up at the Molesey Juniors tournament. They also played two matches in
Waterford Ireland where they played some good football and made some
new friends to add to the ones we made in Holland the previous season.
Most importantly we enjoyed our football and each other’s company making
some good memories and I’m sure we will again season 07/08.We are
planning to tour Belgium.
We had a fantastic season in division 4 spl, winning our league and the junior cup in our first season at 11 a-side. We had a lot of new players that played with great determination, skill and very good attitude. I hope this will stand us in good stead for the coming season. We will be under 12's if you are interested you can contact Steve Kemp on home no. 0208 941 2336 mobile no. 07939 869319 e-mail address steveandsherrie@hotmail.co.uk
A newly created team for the forthcoming 2007/8 season, culminating from increased interest at this age group. The Molesey Lions will be playing in the Surrey Primary League 2007/8 season. The team is made up of some "old boys" from last seasons U8 Colts plus several signings during the close season. The team has trained hard throughout the close season and are now ready for the campaign ahead - "come on you Lions!!!
"Having finished 4th in the U8 Premier Elite League last season and after having strengthened the squad in the summer, we are hoping to consolidate upon an excellent debut season, in the newly formed U9 Premier Elite North League. The boys play a fantastic passing game for a team so young and I have every confidence in them" Mark Colesell
A slow start to last season for the COLTS as we had to reform from U7 and had to start from scratch - but we only lost 4 out of our last 14 games and had an excellent finish to the season finishing in 6th place.Looking forward to a new season as a more settled U9 squad and feel we have a good chance of success this season
"Since the creation of the Juniors in the second half of last season, the team did well in its league matches winning four, drawing two and losing in only one match. Winners of the Molesey Community Church tournament, the team have a good all round squad and have high expectations for the forthcoming season. Training takes place currently at Hurst Pool on Saturday morning from 9.00 am although we are taking a break following training on 21st July 2007 resuming at 9.00 am on 18th August 2007.
