Cat & Mouse

Cat & Mouse

This game is a fantastic game! The kids love it. What is amazing if this game is depending on what your training session you can easily adapt this game to that! For example:
Game setup
  • Create a square
  • Player start and at opposite corners
  • They walk or run around in the same direction chasing one another
  • They keep going until they catch the person in front
  • Then they reset the game and go in the other direction
  • And start again
For advance players
Make it harder!
  • Add in a new action called 'Change', when that word is shouted, the players stop, change direction and go the other way - this is a great way to keep games even and also put players who think they are in control under pressure to get away
  • Player can only use their favoured foot
  • Player can only use their less-favoured foot
Make a competition
If you have 8, 10 or 12 turn this game into a competition
  • Create a square fo each pair
  • Each game lasts for 2 minutes
  • The winner (the person who has caught the other person the most) moves up a square, the loser goes down
  • Repeat as many times as you like
  • In the penultimate game, the winner in the top square and the winner of square 2 have a final to see who is champion. Get the other kids to cheer on the players so they realise that this is the reward at the end of the game
